Tax Information - Form 1098-T

Access your 1098T for 2016 -

We have partnered with Heartland ECSI to provide their robust support for IRS Form 1098-T, Tuition Statement, which furnishes part of the information you need to claim education tax benefits allowed by the American Opportunity and Lifetime Learning Tax Credits. We are required to send you this form so that you can use it to determine if you are eligible and what dollar amount you can claim for these tax credits. The Heartland ECSI portal allows students to view valuable information related to their 1098-T statements including how to access their statements online, steps to take to correct their SSN, what to do if the amounts on the form are incorrect and overviews of available tax credits. First you must obtain your Login Credentials from Students will be authenticated using their first name, last name, last 4 digits of their social security number, date of birth and zip code. Upon authentication, students will be presented with their school code and PIN/password.



Enter the School Code for Lansing Community College: A79

Account Number: SSN without any spaces

Pin/Password: Enter the Pin/Password you received when you obtained your Login Credentials



This feature allows a student to opt-in to receive their 1098-T statement electronically. To opt-in to receive a 1098-T statement electronically, a user must:

Select "Signup for Electronic Tax Documents"


1098-T statement electronically. Enter an email address into the Email Address: field and click SUMBIT.


Access the Electronic 1098T Form

This user interface allows a student to view an electronic copy of any 1098-T statement that was been produced on its behalf. Select "Tax Information".


To view a 1098-T statement, a user must: Select a radio button next to the specific tax year and then click "VIEW"
