Certificate of Achievement

  • A Sign Language Interpreter is a person specially trained to facilitate communication between the deaf and hearing communities.

  • State Certification for interpreters is required by taking the Quality Assurance Examination as issued through the Division on Deafness in the Department of Labor for the State of Michigan.


Prerequisites depend on each class, students should check the course description to determine prerequisites. Skill assessment and advising information can be found at the Assessment Center.
